HONORABLE MOJISOLAOLUWA GIFTS OVER 68,000 WRITING MATERIALS TO ALL SCHOOLS IN AUWO ODOFIN

Women-Affairs

In commemoration of the 2021 children’s day celebrations, Lagos Lawmaker and lover of children, Honourable Mojisolaoluwa Alli-Macaulay has finalized plans to celebrate the event with children in Amuwo Odofin.

During the occasion, Hon. Alli-Macaulay also knows “Mama Amuwo” as she is fondly called will distribute stationery materials such as Books, Pens, Pencils, water bottles among other items and put smiles on the faces of over 60,000 children and parents as she gifts every school in Amuwo Odofin.

According to the Lawmaker, the move is in support of education in Lagos State as it concerns the discouragement of “Out of school children”.

In her own words, “Every child deserves to be educated and not just education, good education. It is, therefore, imperative that we take this seriously because they are going to be leaders tomorrow. This is why the Lagos State Government has also taken it as a priority to put laws in place to hold every parent responsible in that regard.

“I consider this a laudable move on the part of the government, hence I am supporting this very deserving children-focused programme by giving out these Stationeries. I am excited about it and I know we will make an impact in Lagos State”.

Being a good mother herself, Hon. Alli-Macaulay reiterated that as Nigerians, Lagosians, and parents, in particular, we are blessed to have children in our lives.

For her,” children are the most precious gifts and blessings and I cherish every moment spent with them and I am using this opportunity to wish every child a ‘Happy Children’s Day, she said while urging every parent to always  “Remember, every child is your child”.

It will be recalled that the lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin Constituency 1, during the last “International Women’s Day” which held in March made a made the remarkable statement when she declared, “it’s time for women to break free from every limitation holding them back and fight against gender inequalities in all their manifestations”.
